And to all of you who moved here from Des Moines and thought U Street/Logan looked safe because it has pretty houses and expensive condos: well, it still is largely a safe neighborhood…but keep your head up and your wits about you. Violent crime happens everywhere, unfortunately.
As two Iowans who came to Logan Circle from Des Moines (well, close enough in my case), we say duly noted. The recent increase in violent crime in the neighborhood, especially on our former street, has most definitely been upsetting.
Really, I don’t have any sage wisdom to give here, or much commentary at all. Just please people, watch out for each other.
