Hey, remember Wild Turkey? You know, the fairly vile, turpentine-y stuff that you used to force shots of down your friends throats on their twenty-first birthdays. No, just me?
Anyway, the makers of Wild Turkey have traveled to the District to convince me (and I guess possibly others) that their whiskey is not just the stuff of benders. They’re holding an event at Bourbon tonight to show off some of their “classier” varieties. Plus, cigar rolling. This will basically be the manliest event ever. And since Bourbon is a place I’ve been meaning to hit up for like fourteen months now, there’s just no reason not to make the trek up to Adams Morgan.
So you should come on down between seven and nine this evening and have a drink with Katie and me. I promise not to make you drink any corn whiskey from a jar (probably!)
Photo a la Flickr.
I watched the election returns at Bourbon, sitting at the bar from 6pm on. And at one point in the night, things got a little blurry, I tried some of their bacon-infused bourbon. I know you two are veggies, but seriously, it was amazing!
Happy Birthday Noah!
